Upcoming Holiday Concerts at Concordia University Wisconsin Showcase Outstanding Student Musicians

MEQUON, Wis. - The Music Department at Concordia University Wisconsin is preparing for two upcoming events which will take place in the Chapel of Christ Triumphant on Concordia’s main campus in Mequon.

On Sunday, November 22, the 26th annual Christ the King Celebration, featuring Kammerchor (40 mixed-voice student choral ensemble), under the direction of Dr. Alexa Doebele, and The Alleluia Ringers (13 member student handbell ensemble), under the direction of Dr. John A. Behnke, will begin at 3:30 p.m. Tickets for this performance are $7.00 and may be purchased at the door.

Christmas at Concordia will feature all of the University’s ensembles for two concerts. The first concert is Friday, December 4 with an additional performance on Saturday, December 5. The Alleluia Ringers, The Chapel Ringers, Strings, The Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and the Massed Choir (combined Kammerchor and Concordia Chorale) will all perform holiday favorites beginning at 7:30 p.m.

General seating tickets for either of the Christmas at Concordia concerts are $10.00 for adults, children 17 and under are free along with all Concordia University Wisconsin employees and their families. All tickets must be reserved by calling the automated Music Event Line at 243-4243 or by e-mail to music.department@cuw.edu and picked up and paid for on the night the concert.
