Welcome to the Barnabas Ministry homepage! Concordia University Wisconsin is excited about the opportunity to align you with resources that will enhance your abili
ty to succeed at Concordia and beyond.
Barnabas was among the earliest converts to Christianity and a close companion to the great evangelist, the apostle Paul. Barnabas was influential in growing the Christian church in Antioch. His name means "son of encouragement"-hence the name of this ministry. We are here to ENCOURAGE you to discover your God-given talents and to use them for His service in whatever vocation you choose.
Here you will find links to various resources and opportunities to strengthen your self-awareness, advance your academic skills, and formulate a future plan for your life after Concordia. Success doesn’t just happen; you must plan for it. We are here to help you along that exciting journey!
As a participant in the Barnabas ministry you will be expected to attend as many Barnabas events as possible, meet regularly (at least once every two weeks) with your academic advisor, and participate in our Explore ministry if you are undecided about your major.
So check your CUW e-mail and this web site regularly as we share with you what’s going on in the BARNABAS MINISTRY.
If you take advantage of our resources and work hard to realize your potential, you will be successful. God’s richest blessings in this endeavor!
In HIS service,
Randall Ferguson, PhD
