Every LA 105 student must complete the following MINIMUM requirements:
Read at least 300 pages. This can be accomplished via the course text(s) or other assigned readings. A course packet DOES NOT count toward this requirement.
Write at least 4 papers. This requirement is further fulfilled as follows:
- One paper must be at least 4 pages long. - One paper must be submitted to a writing consultant for review. (Please give the Learning Center advanced notice when making this assignment.) - One paper must be tied to the service project.
Give at least 3 public presentations. This can be accomplished via any combination of single and group presentations.
Adhere to a strict attendance policy. Students should be penalized for missing more than two classes (for sections that meet twice a week) or more than three classes (for sections that meet three times a week). This is best accomplished via a participation grade.
