GRANT PROCESS
Grant Writer: Process for Submitting a Grant
A. Before actually writing the grant, consult with
1. The Director of Institutional Research
2. Department/Division/School to assure that
a) the grant is in compliance with the mission of the institution
b) the grant poses no conflicts within the school
B. Write the grant
C. When the grant is completed,
1. Provide copies of the grant to the Office of Institutional Research, and one of the
following: Dept. Chair/Dean/Supervisor/Director, and to any other office or person
who is involved with or affected by the grant.
Important Note!
| The attached Grant Submission Checklist must accompany the copy of the grant that is submitted to the Office of Institutional Research at least one week before the grant submission deadline. |
D. Submit the grant to the funding organization.
Copies of Grants will be housed:
A. In the Office of Institutional Research
B. With one of the following: Dept.Chair/Dean/Supervisor/Director
C. With the Grant Writer
Award Letters
A. Copies of the award letter must be given to:
1. Office of Institutional Research
2. One of the following: Department Chair/Dean/Supervisor/Director
3. Advancement Office
B. Thank you notes, if necessary, will be sent by:
1. Advancement Office
2. Grant Recipient and/or any official of the University notified of the grant award.
