Concordia Intramural Research Grant (CIRG)

The intent of the intramural grant competition is to support scholarly activity among interested Concordia University faculty.  Projects eligible for support include scholarly activities such as program/project studies that develop new initiatives, training grants, and research studies that investigate human or animal subjects.  It is highly recommended that project proposals be considered "seed" projects for external funding.

  1. Please click here for the official CIRG documentation .
  2. Please click here for the CIRG application form .  This form is a fully functional Adobe online document.  Simply use your keyboard and mouse to enter the data and then print out the form when you are finished.  You may also print out a blank form and fill it in by hand or typewriter - it is preferred however that you use the first option.

The I Have a Dream Foundation

In 1981, Eugene Lang returned to give a speech at his former elementary school in New York to graduating sixth graders. When the principal informed Lang that relatively few of these students would make it through high school, Lang changed his prepared remarks to say that he would promise every sixth grader in the school college tuition if they finished high school. In doing so, the "I Have a Dream" Foundation was born, and the program continues to this day, buoyed by an extensive network that is in place in 64 cities across 27 states. At the site, users can learn about the program's history, its basic tenets, and the current staff members who work at the foundation. Users of the site can also use the information here to learn about their current projects, learn about volunteer opportunities, and learn about success stories from the foundation.

Consisting of seven individual charitable funds established between 1948 and 1979 by the children of Sun Oil company founder Joseph N. Pew, the Pew Charitable Trusts support nonprofit activities in the areas of culture, education, the environment, health and human services, public policy and religion. Each of these programmatic areas is managed by a director responsible for coordinating the grant review process. Along with providing information about grant opportunities, the site contains a host of provocative reports and papers generated by grantees receiving funds from the Trusts, and material generated by the in-house research staff.
