Courses Taught: Ceramics, Drawing, Sculpture and Three-Dimensional Design

Jeff Shawhan was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. Received his B.A. in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1990. In 1995, he received his M.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Ceramics, and began teaching in the Sculpture Department after graduation. Jeff has been teaching at Concordia University since 1996. Along with teaching, Jeff currently exhibits nationally and is represented by galleries in Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Florida, Minnesota, New York, Texas and California. He also is an expert in the Raku firing process, teaching workshops and designing and building his own line of kilns.
