The Freshman Fast-Track Program is an innovative and educational opportunity in the field of Athletic Training for students who want to learn at an accelerated pace. Students who have applied, been accepted, and plan on attending in the fall at Concordia University Wisconsin and have declared Athletic Training as their major will have priority for this limited invitation only workshop. All of the Concordia University Wisconsin Athletic Training faculty and staff are the instructors for all sections.
This workshop will allow incoming freshman to be taught and evaluated on many athletic training competencies and proficiencies i.e. cognitive knowledge and skill acquisition. Incoming freshman who attend this workshop will have the opportunity to enter as a Freshman Fast-Track student. What this allows is special learning sessions throughout the year, attend various athletic events as part of the Athletic Training Education Program, and get involved in the athletic training room. Most of all the Freshman Fast-Track program allows for accelerated cognitive learning and skill enhancement which will greatly enhance your knowledge over the course of our four year degree.
The intention of this program is to provide an opportunity to students who want to get a head start in their educational career. The goals of this program are:
- Develop knowledge of the athletic training profession.
- Develop basic athletic training knowledge and skills the first year so a student may comprehend and expand their knowledge at an accelerated rate over their four year education in athletic training.
- Provide an educational avenue for those students who have a high desire to learn athletic training.
