Why I came to CUW: I came to CUW because of the growing Athletic Training program and because of the Christian environment.

Favorite sports to work and why: Volleyball and basketball - I love to play and watch both of these sports.

What do you like the most about athletic training: I like the hands on experience and having the chance to help athletes.

Your advice for students contemplating athletic training as a career: My advice would be to talk to students in the program to better understand the commitment and what Athletic Training is all about.

Favorite Movie: Hitch, Wedding Crashers, anything that makes me laugh.

Why I came to CUW: Because they have a great AT program where I feel I can make a difference.  Also the campus is very beautiful and comforting.

Favorite sports to work and why: Vollegball, basketball and football.  I participated in the first two sports and I think I will get alot of opportunities in football.

What do you like the most about athletic training: Being able to help people with injuries and still be in the athletic setting.

Your advice for students comtemplating athletic training as a career:  I would definitely look over it before you sign up.  To many people think it is easy because its with sports, but really you do work that you have to understand and enjoy. This is a great career where you can make a difference.

What do you like the most about AT:  Being able to help people that need it, having a thorough knowledge of the human body and how it moves and works, and applying physical activity to everyday activities.

Your advice for students contemplating athletic training as a career: Visit Concordia and attend the summer workshop offered, job shadow an ATC.

What do you like the most about AT: Being involved with sports and the athletes and being able to get in on the action by getting to know the players and helping them with their struggles on and off the field.

Your advice for students contemplating AT as a career: Volunteer with an Athletic Trainer, get involved and learn as much as you can

Why I came to CUW: Came to CUW for the ATP, the cross country program, and also the get out of MN for awhile.

Favorite sports to work and why: Basketball - bacasue I played basketball and it is just enjoyable to watch. Track and field - I ran track and I know what they have to go through and I also love running.

What do you like the most about athletic training: The chance and the ability to get to know the athletes and helping them get back to playing after they have had an injury.

Your advice for students contemplating AT as a career: It is hard work and you have to be very dedicted and if you are and know that is what yo want then you shall succeed.

Why I came to CUW: I came for the Christian environment and the ATP - it especially interested me b/c of the exposure and hands-on training that is available right away.

Favorite sports to work and why: Probably soccer or basketball

What do you like the most about athletic training: It's always interesting and everyday you learn something new.  I also like working with the athletes and helping them prevent an injury and rehabilitate if they do get hurt.

Your advice for students contemplating AT as a career: It's a lot of effort and commitment, but if it's what you wnat to do, it's more than worth it.

Your advice for students contemplating athletic training as a career: Make sure its something you really want to do because if you want to be successful, you have to work hard and really have a heart for it.

What do you like the most about athletic training: I like that Athletic Training allows me to constantly be around sports and athletes.

Your advice for students contemplating athletic training as a career: Athletic Training is an active profession that you will not easily get bored with.

Why I came to CUW: Icame to CUW because I like both the Athletic Training and Physical Therapy programs.  I also like the small class size and lastly the location of the university.

Favorite sports to work and why: Working with all the sports would be a great experience because you get to learn more about what goes on in each sport, and possibly deal with different kinds of injuries that wuld happen in a certain sport.

What do you like the most about athletic training: I like how the Athletic Trainer plays a big part in preventing athletes from getting injuries and helping the athlete get back on the playing field.

Your advice for students contemplating athletic training as a career: If you like to be around no sports no matter what the levels of competition are, you like to interact with people, and you like to help people with innjuries and get them back as soon as possible, then this is the career for you.

Why I came to CUW?: I came to CUW because of the small size of the community. I was attracted to the the new athletic training facility and the remarkable program. CUW also was not too far from home, but it was just far enough away.

Favorite clinical rotation and why? I have to say the rotations at the clinics. I like working with people outside of our program and having an opportunity to see what other jobs athletic trainers can have outside of a school setting.

What do you like the most about athletic training? I like working with all different types of people either in the athletic setting or in the clinical setting. Rehab has always been something I have been interested in for a long time and athletic training is the perfect opportunity.

Your advice for students contemplating athletic training as a career: Make sure that you are going to take this career seriously. Plan on spending hours and hours studying and working with athletic teams.

What do you like the most about athletic training? : Working with fellow athletes, and being able to watch the games that I love to participate in.
Your advice for students contemplating athletic training as a career : If you like sports and working with people this is the career choice for you. It's a great feeling to see someone come back from an injury and know that you had something to do with that.

Why I came to CUW? : The reason I chose to come to CUW is mainly the smaller size of campus and class sizes. Not to mention, campus is right on the lake. Also what attracted me was the Athletic Training Program.
Favorite clinical rotation and why? : I would have to say either football or volleyball, because you get to see alot wide variety of injuries and I like watching those sports.
What do you like the most about athletic training? : I have been an athlete for a long time and enjoy being the "sports" environment and also being able to know I helped someone get back onto the playing field.

Why I came to CUW? : I came to CUW because it has a great Athletic Training program and it was a smaller, welcoming community of people.
Favorite clinical rotation and why? : I love Football. There are so many different injuries and the athletes are very fun to work with. I think that was probably my favorite, but I love Baseball and I am really looking forward to working with the team in the upcoming years.
What do you like the most about athletic training? : I love that we are in constant contact with athletes. Sports have been such a big impact on my life and to still have sports in my life and still have the feeling of being apart of a team really makes a difference to me.
Your advice for students contemplating athletic training as a career : Athletic Training is a lot of work and takes quite of bit of time, but the key is to learn how to balance your time. In the end it is probably one of the most rewarding careers, though. When you see your injured player get back on the court/field and play as if nothing happened you have the greatest feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment.

What do you like the most about athletic training? : I love being around all of the excitement of athletics. I also love being the one that people look to and trust to help them.

Why I came to CUW? : I transferred to Concordia University for a couple of reasons. One is for their Athletic Training and Physical Therapy Departments. Another reason was because of their smaller class sizes. And the third reason was because I have the opportunity to play soccer again.
Favorite clinical rotation and why? : I think my favorite clinical rotation will be hockey. I love watching that sport.

What do you like the most about athletic training? : It is a good way to stay connected with sports and it is a really good feeling to watch the injured patients that you helped through rehab etc. get back to playing his or her sport.
Your advice for students contemplating athletic training as a career : It is something that you have to really want to do, otherwise you will not enjoy it.

Why I came to CUW? : Small scbool, Track and Field, I can go from my dorm to class to lunch in a t-shirt and shorts any time of the year
Favorite clinical rotation and why? : Football has a big team and injuries to all parts of the body, not just upper or lower extremity. The atmosphere is also very comfortable to spend long afternoons in.
What do you like the most about athletic training? : I like getting my hands on patients/athletes right away and helping others get better faster, even if it's just a scrape.
Your advice for students contemplating athletic training as a career : It's a lot of work, but worth it if it's something you're interested in.
