The School of Education at Concordia University Wisconsin in conjunction with the Wisconsin Alliance for Fire Safety and the American Red Cross invite you to join us in integrating fire safety curriculum into your Math, Social Studies, Science and English Language Arts curriculums. We believe that it is very important that all teachers are given information about fire safety to teach their students. Students are generally the source of fire safety information in their own home and help prevent many fires every year. We want to encourage all current and future teachers to incorporate fire safety into their curriculum.
Concordia University Wisconsin has worked closely with the Wisconsin Alliance for Fire Safety in looking for curriculums which can match up with Wisconsin State Standards. The American Red Cross curriculum provides lessons for children from Kindergarten through the eighth grade. The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction standards for the core content areas have been allied with each of the lessons.
