Adjunct Faculty

Frances Scheunemann

Fran graduated from the Medical Assistant program at Concordia in 1994 and became certified in 1995.  Fran has worked in many different areas of medical assisting, office, lab and clinical, in settings ranging from a two doctor office to a large multi-specialty clinic.  She began teaching in the medical Assistant program in 1996.  She has taught a variety of classes, and currently teaches Medical Terminology and Anatomy & Physiology, which is her passion.  Fran is a very creative teacher and we are glad to have her in the program. Having recently recertified her CMA credential by taking the Certification exam, she now teaches a seminar on preparing for the certification exam and is helping many students achieve their goal of becoming certified.  Fran is currently working with a well known publisher on writing a textbook, Medical Terminology and Anatomy & Physiology for Medical Assistants, which will be the first textbook of its kind, created to specifically meet the educational requirements for Medical Assistants in this area. Fran and her husband also have an agricultural feed storage business and enjoy life in rural Washington County with many pets.  She is pictured here with her Finish Spitz Casey.
