Psychology

The mission of the psychology department of Concordia University Wisconsin is to increase the awareness of the boundaries of psychology through the teaching of the ways people think, act, and live. Intellectual development, the ability to articulate human social issues, and problem-solving are in focus. We also strive, through our teaching and modeling of behavior, to decrease discrimination in all forms and to enhance the appreciation for the magnificence of God viewed through human diversity.

The major in psychology requires completion of twelve three-credit courses: Statistics, Educational Psychology, Child, Adolescent, or Adult Development, Experimental Psychology, Interpersonal Communication, Theories of Personality, Social Psychology, Research Methods, Abnormal Psychology, Psychology Practicum, Senior Seminar, and an upper level elective. (The minor in psychology requires 24 credits.) General Psychology (PSY 101) is a prerequisite for all higher level psychology courses.

Full-time faculty within the psychology department at Concordia are Drs. Samuel Lotegeluaki and Lynne Rompelman. Several adjunct professors complement the wealth of experience that is shared with students.
