My Faculty/HR Department Attendance Policy
I encourage my students to be active and participative in class sessions. In order to come to class fully prepared, students are expected to complete 15 - 20 hours of independent study before each class session. We shall commence our class sessions with a prayer and close with a prayer too. Time keepers and prayer leaders will be rotated amongst us.
We are going to focus on developing scholar-practitioners through learning that incorporates both our theoretical knowledge and relevant experiences. Learners are encouraged to collaborate with peers and faculty member, and to respect one another in making theoretical and practical contributions in the course of our discourse.
Grades/marks will be awarded based on the School's policy, i.e., 16 hours study at home, which is 80% and 20% for 4 hours in class and attendance = 100% per Dean, School of Adult Education, Concordia University Wisconsin. Students should get credit points for bringing in homework assignments before the class discussion, and not after hearing all the ideas and insightful perspectives of the subject matter in the class.
Attendance at the first night's meeting is MANDATORY. With the exception of the first night meeting, students may miss up to four hours class session with a good excuse, but must submit all the assignments prior to such a date you plan to be absent.
