Online Application Information ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Consistent with the aims of the program, Concordia University Wisconsin has made an effort to simplify the process of enrolling in the Adult Learning Program. The application process and registration for a given program is coordinated by the respective Center Director.
Applicants for the programs must attend an information session and/or a personal interview conducted by a program representative. At the session they will receive a detailed presentation of the program and an explanation of the materials needed to enroll. If they decide to enroll in the Adult Learning Program, they will need to proceed through the following steps:
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Attend an Information Session or personal appointment with a program representative.
- Complete the Application Form and submit it along with the $35 (non-refundable) application fee to the director of the Center you plan to attend.
- Request that official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended be sent directly to the Center at which you are enrolling. In cases where the student has less than 12 transferable credits, a high school transcript must be requested.
- Prospective students for whom English is not their native language may submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) in lieu of taking the Test of Standard Written English. A score of 500 will be required on the TOEFL. These students will still need to complete both the math exam and the writing sample.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
- When students have been accepted they must submit a $75 tuition deposit to indicate readiness to begin the program. This fee is a part of the tuition and will be credited toward the first term tuition.
- The books and materials for the first module will be distributed at the Orientation Session.
- Payment for each module must be made prior to the first session.
READMISSION POLICY
Students who wish to resume their studies after an absence of a year or more will re-enter the program under the rules and regulations of the catalog then in effect. A new evaluation form will be completed at that time. Any new course requirements in either the major or the core must be met. |

Student Testimonials: 6/1/2004 - Now after it has finally started to sink in, I can reflect on all the great experiences that I had at Concordia Madison. By far one of the most important experiences was the time spent with all of you and what all of you did in sharing and contributing to that experience. If it wasn't for all you great instructors and your dedication and support, none of this could ever happen. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for sharing your knowledge, your experience, your expertise, and most importantly your dedication to my adult education. - Todd Jarlsberg, May 2004 Graduate
1/22/2004 - When I went to Concordia to apply, I immediately felt at home. If there is one main thing that sticks out in my mind about Concordia, it is how nice the admission and undergraduate staff are. They were always available, and always took time to talk to me if I had questions about class or anything else. Just knowing that the staff cared about my success gave me a greater sense of confidence than I might have otherwise had. - Tom Bridell, December 2003 Graduate
1/22/2004 - Im now looking at completing my degree in Management and Communication in December 2003. I cant believe Im this close. Im the first in my family to get a degree and have never been prouder of anything in my life. I can lead by example for my children. When I encourage them to go to college, they can see how important it was to me and how hard I worked for it. Now when I update my resume, I have that little piece of paper that says Im a credible employee. Dreams really do come true, if you work hard and stay focused on the end goal. - Bonnie Loether, December 2003 Graduate
1/22/2004 - The courses Life of Christ and Hebrew Heritage opened eyes that have been closed since childhood. The pressures of making a mortgage payment, putting dinner on the table, and making sure the girls got to dance class placed my religion on the shelf, until I attended those classes. Now Christ is back into my life and his importance to the world and my family is starting to work itself back into the lives of my family, as it should have been years ago. - Michael Ellestad, May 2003 Graduate
1/22/2004 - The criminal justice modules have been quite beneficial despite my eight years experience in law enforcement. The law classes have provided a greater understanding of why the department policies, procedures, and work rules came to be. - Robert Ladik, May 2003 Graduate
1/22/2004 - Concordia University has helped me to grow in four key areas: time management, confidence in speaking, spirituality, and the bonds of friendship. While some may see these growths as inconsequential, I believe these lessons will last longer than anything learned in books. - Jason Kasperski, May 2003 Graduate
1/22/2004 - My educational experience at Concordia has benefited me in a number of ways. On a professional level, I have become a much more effective manager and contributor to achieving business objectives. The result has been a steady climb in position and salary. I have recently changed jobs and had absolutely no problem landing a great position. I attribute much of that to Gods provision, but I also have the power to deliver and Concordia has been a big part of that. - Robert Rome, May 2003 Graduate |
