Student Testimonials:
From Tiffany Alexis, New Orleans Center Graduate 2007
"I am the product of two parents that were not well educated. It became very important to me not to make the same mistakes my parents made.
As I got older and jointed the workforce, it became very clear that the best thing I could do for myself was get a college education. I worked a few odd jobs such as waitress and retail sales associated. The pay was often low and these jobs offered little benefits or financial growth. I noticed that people with a higher education were not living from paycheck to paycheck.
I wanted more for myself. I contacted two schools in my area but choose Concordia because it offered something different. It offered a personal touch.
I cannot begin to describe all of the things Concordia has given me. It is more than I anticipated. Not only do I have a Bachelor Degree in hand, but I am taking with me friendships that will last a lifetime. I have found my own spirituality, inner peace and strength. I have proven to myself that I can do anything I set my mind to do even in the face of adversity and a disaster (Hurricane Katrina).
Concordia has offered me the realization of a dream which I will carry with me for the rest of my life."
Tiffany Alexis is the first in her family to achieve a University degree. She graduated with a GPA above 3.0.
