ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Consistent with the aims of the program, Concordia University Wisconsin has made an effort to simplify the process of enrolling in the Adult Learning Program. The application process and registration for a given program is coordinated by the respective Center Director.

Applicants for the programs must attend an information session and/or a personal interview conducted by a program representative. At the session they will receive a detailed presentation of the program and an explanation of the materials needed to enroll. If they decide to enroll in the Adult Learning Program, they will need to proceed through the following steps:

 

APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Attend an Information Session or personal appointment with a program representative.
     
  2. Complete the Application Form and submit it along with the $35 (non-refundable) application fee to the director of the Center you plan to attend.
     
  3. Request that official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended be sent directly to the Center at which you are enrolling. In cases where the student has less than 12 transferable credits, a high school transcript must be requested. 
     
  4. Prospective students for whom English is not their native language may submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) in lieu of taking the Test of Standard Written English. A score of 500 will be required on the TOEFL. These students will still need to complete both the math exam and the writing sample.

 

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  1. When students have been accepted they must submit a $75 tuition deposit to indicate readiness to begin the program. This fee is a part of the tuition and will be credited toward the first term tuition.
     
  2. The books and materials for the first module will be distributed at the Orientation Session.
     
  3. Payment for each module must be made prior to the first session.

 

READMISSION POLICY

Students who wish to resume their studies after an absence of a year or more will re-enter the program under the rules and regulations of the catalog then in effect. A new evaluation form will be completed at that time. Any new course requirements in either the major or the core must be met.

"I am the product of two parents that were not well educated. It became very important to me not to make the same mistakes my parents made.
