May I take classes without degree-seeking status?

Yes, you may apply as a non-degree seeking student. As such, you may take a maximum of nine credits during a span of five years.

Or you may choose to participate in any of the handbell courses for a seminar fee of $750.

 

Is on-campus housing available for summer students?

Yes, resident hall space is reserved for graduate students during the summer. Food service is also available.

 

Is it absolutely necessary to have a bachelor's degree in music for acceptance into the program?

Although most MCM students have an undergraduate degree in music, we do accept students into the program who have sufficient background to be successful in the program. You may discuss your situation with the program director.

 

When are courses offered?

The majority of courses are offered during five weeks in the summer.

Click here for schedule of offerings.  During the Fall and Spring Semesters, courses are conveniently offered on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
