Ann Franz received her Bachelor of Science and Physical Therapy degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her PhD in Cell Biology and Anatomy from the Medical College of Wisconsin with a focus in developmental biology. Her research interests stem from post-doctoral training in the areas of protein characterization and early embryonic heart development. Dr. Franz teaches Human Physiology to pre-Physical Therapy students. In the professional DPT and post-professional DPT programs she teaches courses in pathophysiology, pharmacology, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and acute care. She also serves as advisor to students. Her clinical experiences have included acute care, out-patient orthopedics, SNFs, and home care, with current clinical practice time spent in the acute care hospital setting.
