Carolyn Wohlers brings over 25 years of clinical experience and 8 years of teaching experience to the Program. Her clinical experience is primarily with clients with developmental disabilities in the birth to 21 population with additional clinical experience in adult rehabilitation, acute care and home health care. Ms. Wohler's teaching obligations are in the areas of pediatric and clinical education. She has been the Director of Clinical Education since 2001. Her master's thesis project was a study of a collaborative, structured model of clinical education. She is pursuing her interest in the development of curricular materials for clinical education experiences. Ms Wohlers is a trainer for the APTA Clinical Instructor Education and Credentialing Program.
Carolyn Wohlers made two professional co-presentations in 2003: "Teaching Clinical Decision Making in the Classroom and Clnic" at the Combined Sections meeting at the APTA, Tampa, FL, February 2003, and "A Structured Problem-Based Learning model for Early Clinical Education Experiences" at the 2003 National Clinical Education Conference, Philadelphia, PA, April 2003. |
