Do I need to have a Wisconsin teaching license to pursue this program?
If you are seeking the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) license, you must hold a Wisconsin teaching license. If you hold a teaching license from another state, please contact your state licensing organization to determine if it will accept Concordia’s program for administrative licensure.
If you are seeking a master’s degree in education administration but do not desire a DPI license, you do not need to hold a teaching license.
If you already hold a master’s degree, prior graduate work may be applied toward program requirements.
Does the program require a practicum?
Students seeking licensure will complete a 100 hour (150 hours if seeking both #10 and #51 licenses) practicum either in the school in which they are currently employed or at another school of their choice.
Is there a residency requirement for E-Learning students?
E-Learning students will complete the residency requirement by taking Educational Research Methods, a one week course offered in June. This course is started in an E-Learning environment and completed during the one week residency.
