MBA Prerequisites
The prerequisite courses are undergraduate courses necessary to adequately prepare a student for the MBA. It is expected that students will have acquired the basic knowledge of these courses prior to beginning the program. Concordia University provides these courses through our flexible E-Learning option or through an accelerated on-campus format in the School of Adult Education, students who have completed any of these courses more than five years ago may wish to refresh their knowledge by repeating or auditing the class. One or more of these courses may be waived for students with business/professional experiences. Please consult with the MBA Program Director, Dr. David Borst for information about waivers. As a general guideline the prerequisite courses consist of:
- Introduction to Statistics
- Principles of Management
- Principles of Accounting
- Principles of Marketing
- Business Finance
- Economics (Macro or Micro)
MBA Prerequisites at CUW
The Adult Education program offers the undergraduate prerequisite courses necessary to prepare MBA students for their course of study. These prerequisites include:
- AL 169 Statistical Methods (6 weeks)
- AL 272 Organizational Management Principles
or
- AL 358 Principles of Management (4 weeks)
- AL 365 Accounting (6 weeks)
- AL 366 Marketing Management (5 weeks)
- AL 346 Business Finance (6 weeks)
- AL 347 Macroeconomics (6 weeks)

MBA CORE
In keeping with the purpose of a MBA, our curriculum is designed to provide the student with the broad spectrum of the business scene. To this end, the courses provide advanced instruction in many areas of business. The utilization of a concentration allows the student, at the same time, to develop an area of expertise.
