Who is eligible to the MSRS degree?
Students who are practitioners of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training and Exercise Physiology would be appropriate candidates for the MSRS degree.
What are the entrance requirements?
- Undergraduate degree in a rehabilitation-related profession.
- Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or above
- License in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology or related rehabilitation field
What do I need to apply?
- Completed application
- $35.00 application fee
- Two letters of recommendation from professors or employers
- One-page essay describing your reason for obtaining a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Science degree

- All official transcripts leading to your bachelor's degree
How is the program structured?
The MSRS degree requires a core set of courses for all students regardless of discipline. Students will also select advanced coursework in an area that most closely fits their discipline and interests.
How long will it take to complete the MSHS program?
The MSRS degree can be completed in a minimum of two years. Classes are held in 8, 10 or 16 week sessions.
Are courses available online?
All core required courses and the majority of the elective courses will be taught in an on-line format with no face-to-face meetings required. If an on-campus session is required, it will be held in the evening or weekend to accommodate student's work schedules. Electives offered only in face-to-face format are typically intensive short courses in the summer or winterim. Additionally, most courses are also offered face-to-face on the Mequon campus. It is the student's choice as to which format is preferred.
When can I begin taking classes?
Students will only be admitted into the program during fall semester. Students will no longer be able to begin the program in the spring semester.
