Dear fellow Concordia alumni and parents:

  
My summer was busy with trips to St. Louis, MO; Houston, TX; and Orlando FL.  These trips involved another Adult Education reception in St. Louis, the LCMS Convention in Houston, and the National Youth Gathering in Florida.  While in these various sites I had the privilege to visit with numerous alumni, parents and friends of Concordia.  It is a joy to see how our God is blessing the lives of our Concordia family around the country.

August 27, 2007 marked the beginning our 127th academic year.  This year's theme is "Living Stones Built on Christ" from 1 Peter 2:4-5.  God uses Concordia's alumni as "Living Stones" as they fulfill Concordia's mission of "service to Christ in the Church and in the World." 

The new academic theme of stones is appropriate with the current construction projects.  As I write this update, the bluff restoration is days from completion.  The view of Lake Michigan is exquisite and now the Concordia and Mequon community will have the opportunity to walk down to the lake and see God's creation first-hand.  Also under construction are the Concordia athletic fields and Coburg dormitory.  The athletic fields are being updated with a pro-turf surface.  Coburg, or New Coburg as some are calling it will be a five story dorm with 344 beds; the first residents will move in their rooms in time for 2nd semester.

Make it a point to visit campus this Fall, you will not be disappointed.  If there is anything that I may do for you and your families please give me a call or send an email note.
