Spring Highlight
CUW All American Brock Solveson Tied a National Record
CUW sophomore Brock Solveson (Oconomowoc) set a J.J. Keller Stadium record in the Javelin (63.35 meters) in this year's NCAA DIII Track and Field Championships in Oshkosh, WI. Solveson became the second track athlete in CUW history to earn All- American honors at the outdoor championships.
Solveson's record (63.35 Meters) was tied later in the day by Stephen Burns (Rochester Institute of Technology). Both athletes battled in the finals only to see Burns earn the national championship based on having the second best throw during the competition (58.53 compared to 58.26 meters).
Soverson's throw also established a new CUW / NAC record, breaking one already owned by Solveson. The second place finish earns Brock the honor of being named a 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field All-American.
