Application Process

  • Complete the Online Application
  • In addition to your application, please submit the following:
    • Submit the $50 USD application fee (in check, money order, or credit card).
    • Official transcripts or notarized copies for all previous schools the applicant has attended.
    • If the transcripts are not in English, have them translated into English using an evaluation companies such as: Educational Credentials Evaluations, the World Education Services, or Educational-Perspectives.
    • Applicant's brief resume and biography. Please use a typewriter or a computer.
    • Two (2) reference letters from the teachers the applicant has had, commenting on the applicant's ability to finish the degree.
    • A short essay, stating the purpose of pursuing the U.S. degree. (Graduate applicants only). Instructions
    • A bank statement with the balance converted into U.S. dollars. If a relative or parent is sponsoring the applicant, have that person write a letter of affidavit, and provide with that person's bank statement. If a company is sponsoring the applicant, have that company write a letter of affidavit, and provide a financial statement of the company on company letterhead.
    • If the applicant is already in the U.S., please enclose copies of I-94, passport, visa type, such as B-1, B-2, J-1 (DS2019), F-1 (I-20).

Check the Status of Your Application

To check the status of your application, please go to www.cuw.edu/go/internationalchecklist.  It usually takes 4-6 weeks to finish processing the application. If the applicant is accepted, an acceptance letter and an I-20 form will be mailed to the applicant. If the applicant is denied, a letter of notification will also be sent to the applicant.
