In this day and age, news reports and headlines can paint a bleak picture of our world, taking our eyes off of the powerful work God can do through the faithful gifts of His servants.  Here are a few examples of the powerful work He has done here at Concordia in 2009:

  1. Our students served people throughout the world through service projects such as the Acuna mission trip and the Belize medical mission trip.  These students built homes, alleviated pain and disease, and spread the gospel message.
  2. Over 800 students graduated from Concordia in the 2008-09 school year, each prepared to serve Christ in the Church and the world through their chosen vocation.
  3. Our mission led more than 500 students to join Concordia, each of whom the faculty, staff, and administration are blessed and eager to serve.
  4. Students enjoyed the use of Coburg Hall, our new 350 bed residence hall.
  5. We received initial accreditation for our School of Pharmacy from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).  Concordia's School of Pharmacy will prepare students to fill the critical pharmacist shortage in Wisconsin, rural areas, and urban communities.
  6. Over 250 people attended the groundbreaking for the Concordia Center for Environmental Stewardship, which will be a living laboratory acknowledging God’s creative hand and our responsibilities as stewards of His creation.

We are truly thankful for the generosity of our many supporters as we help students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world.
