SARGENTO'S PRESIDENT AND CEO, LOU GENTINE,

TO SPEAK AT CONCORDIA'S BUSINESS LEADERSHIP SERIES

MEQUON, Wis. - Lou Gentine, president and CEO of Sargento, a second generation, family-owned, leading national marketer of cheeses and cheese-based solutions headquartered in Plymouth, Wis., will be the guest speaker at Concordia’s Business Leadership Series on Thursday, November 1, from 7:30 - 9 a.m.

 

Gentine, who is a proponent of values based leadership, will discuss how business leaders should "Placing God In Your Mission Statement Through Values-Based Leadership" as part of Concordia University Wisconsin's ongoing Business Leadership Breakfast Series sponsored by the Concordia Foundation Board.

 

Individual seats are available for $25. Corporate tables of 8 are also available for $160. This fee includes having your company's name on a table sign and in the event program. Gentine earned a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Notre Dame, and worked at Price Waterhouse as a Certified Public Accountant before joining Sargento in 1973 as controller.  Following several other promotions, he assumed his current position of chief executive officer in 1981 and chairman in 1996. 

 

Gentine has served on various boards including First Wisconsin Bank, VPI Inc., and Boys and Girls Clubs of Milwaukee.  He also has served as chairman of both the International Dairy Foods Association and National Cheese Institute in Washington, D.C. where he continues as a member of their respective boards.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Road America in Elkhart Lake, The Oldenburg Group in Milwaukee, and Carl Buddig and Company in Chicago.  He and his wife Michele shared chairmanship duties for the Sheboygan County United Way Campaign in 2005 and the Campaign for Holy Hill in 2001.
