MEQUON, Wis. - Concordia University Wisconsin's music department is proud to be presenting its annual Christmas at Concordia Concert featuring traditional hymns and carols from The Alleluia Ringers, Kammerchor, String Ensemble, Concordia Chorale, Chapel Ringers and the Symphonic Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. John A. Behnke, Dr. Kenneth T. Kosche, Dr. Louis Menchaca and Mrs. Kimberly Williams. Professor James Freese will be accompanying on organ. The concert is scheduled for Friday, November 30, and Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Christ Triumphant.

The massed choirs, led in by The Alleluia Ringers, will sing a traditional candlelight processional, "Angels We Have Heard on High," joined on later stanzas by the organ and audience.

Kammerchor and Concordia Chorale will combine to sing "Rejoice Greatly, O Daughter of Zion" by director/composer Kenneth Kosche, "Gloria Deo Up in the Sky" by J. Butler, and John Gardner’s ever-popular "Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day."

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble will be performing a medley of carols in a composition entitled "Christmas Legends" and a sing-along of the timeless "Adeste Fidelis."

Concordia's two bell choirs will play settings of "Pat-a-Pan" by Fred Gramann, "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" by Arnold Sherman, "Mary Did You Know?" by Douglas Wagner, and will premiere a new up-tempo arrangement of "Rise Up Shepherds and Follow" by director/composer John Behnke.
