23rd ANNUAL CHRIST THE KING CELEBRATION TO BE PERFORMED AT CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY WISCONSIN SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2006

MEQUON, Wis. - Concordia University Wisconsin's music department is proud to present its 23rd annual Christ the King Celebration featuring Kammerchor, under the direction of Dr. Kenneth T. Kosche, and The Alleluia Ringers, under the direction of Dr. John A. Behnke, on Sunday, November 19, 2006, at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Christ Triumphant.

 

Kammerchor, a forty-eight mixed-voice choral ensemble, will sing music by John Rutter, Paul Bouman, Hugo Distler, Alice Parker, and others.

 

The Alleluia Ringers, a handbell ensemble consisting of  13 students ringing 143 bells and hand chimes, will be premiering new handbell compositions.

 

The Alleluia Ringers will join with Kammerchor for John Behnke's "The Lord's My Shepherd."  The audience will also have opportunity to join the singing during three selections.

 

Both Kammerchor and The Alleluia Ringers are noted for their national and international spring tours, and they and their directors have collaborated for over twenty yeas in a variety of musical undertakings.
