CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY WISCONSIN NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ETHICAL BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AWARD

MEQUON, Wis. Concordia University Wisconsin is now accepting applications for its Annual School of Business and Legal Studies Ethical Business Leadership Award.

According to Dr. William Ellis, Dean of the School of Business and Legal Studies, In this day and age of unfortunate corporate scandals, this award was created to recognize an individual, corporation or organization that is demonstrating ethical or socially responsible management practices.

"We did this because our university feels strongly that we need more business to support the community, be family-friendly and offer innovative employment practices. And those who are already doing so, deserve to be praised."

The 2005 award was presented to Tom and Jams Kacmarcik of KAPCO. Two other finalists, Gene Feld of D&G Transportation and Jim Keck of Systems & Programming Solutions, were also recognized.

A simple one-page nomination form can be received from Dr. William Ellis office by calling (262) 243-4250.  Attached to this nomination form the nominee must describe in two pages or less what way this individual, corporation or organization has demonstrated ethical and socially responsible management practices. Six award criteria include: treats employees and customers with dignity and respect; establishes a community corporate culture; treats quality as a primary focus; conducts business according to the Golden Rule; serves as a model of integrity; and considers the environment in all business activities. The deadline for all nominations is January 16, 2006.

The top five finalists and their nominators will be honored at a special reception on April 28 at Brynwood Country Club, 60th and Good Hope. During this event, the actual award recipient will be announced.
