Concordia Univesity Wisconsin Adult Education Division to Start Offering Classes in Sheboygan
MEQUON, Wis. – As Concordia University Wisconsin officials prepare to enter into their 125th academic year this fall, Adult Education officials announced today that they will be beginning to offer two of their evening accelerated Adult Education degree programs in the Sheboygan market this fall.
On Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at 6 p.m. in the Sheboygan Lutheran High School at 3323 University Drive, Sheboygan officials will be hosting an Adult Education Information Session to unveil the university’s plans to expand its adult education programs in Management and Communications and Human Resources Management to Sheboygan.
Classes will begin September 7 and will meet weekly at Sheboygan Lutheran High School.
According to Michael Besch, vice president of the Adult and Continuing Education, “Almost 60 percent of those studying for credit in the United States today are 25 years of age and over. This is primarily due to the fact that changing work environments are requiring competence and skills which only continuing education can provide.
“Concordia’s accelerated programs are perfect for adults whose personal and work schedules make full-time, traditional study an impossibility.
“The goal of these programs is to relate newly acquired information directly to one’s personal and professional life experiences, in turn, cultivating a student’s marketable skills and self-worth.”
Those interested in learning more about either of these programs or in registering for the information session should call 262-243-4399 or visit www.cuw.edu. Founded in 1881, Concordia University Wisconsin's main campus is located on approximately 200 acres on Lake Michigan at 12800 N. Lake Shore in Mequon.
