CONSTRUCTION UPDATE! -

Bluff Renovation

The bluff renovation project has been halted for the winter and construction work will restart in spring with targeted completion during the summer.

Coburg Hall

The residence hall project is under construction.  We`ve worked very hard over the last several months trying to reduce costs.  Unfortunately as we have made progress in reducing costs by eliminating building features, overall construction costs in the Milwaukee area have escalated substantially.  In addition, we`ve added elements to the project, such as a new water system integrated to WE Energies water supply, made accommodations for several classrooms in the basement of the south tower, and included the furniture in the project, to get a better idea of overall costs.  The actual physical construction of the project is ongoing, and our current schedule has abandoned the potential of being open by the start of the fall 2007 semester.  As a result we are working with the Student Life area to try to accommodate our students until the building is ready for occupancy.  In spite of the disappointment related to the final price and occupancy, we are very excited about the fantastic opportunities that the new building will afford to our future students.
