Your academic and personal success will relate to the environment that you create for yourself in your hall.  To assist you in creating a positive living experience within a Christian community, the University has developed a structure for the operation of the residence halls.  All policies and procedures are outlined within the Student Handbook, please note the following:

  1. Concordia University is an alcohol-free Campus
  2. The campus buildings (residence halls included) have been declared Tobacco Free
  3. Quiet Hours are 10PM - 10AM daily.  These times have been established to promote a positive learning environment.
  4. Courtesy Hours are in effect 24 hours a day and are expected to be observed throughout the residence halls.
  5. Guests are welcome in the halls but are the host student's responsibility.
  6. Visitors of the opposite sex may not be in the halls outside of Visitation Hours.  The times when opposite-sex visitors may NOT be in the halls are:  
  7.                  Sunday through Thursday from Midnight to 10am
  8.                  Friday and Saturday from 2am to 10am
  9. No pets are permitted in any residence hall.
  10. Several residence halls are equipped with a lounge that includes a TV and VCR/DVD combo.
  11. Each hall resident has access to FREE laundry machines within that hall.
  12. Each resident will be assigned a campus mailbox #. Mail is delivered Monday - Friday. Campus mail should be addressed as follows:

  13. Vehicles may be brought to campus and must be registered with the university. 
  14. You may bring additional furniture into your room. However, at no time is storage space available.
  15. Each room is provided a refrigerator and microwave.
  16. Campus Safety is available 24 hours a day to respond to any safety concerns.
  17. Please inform the Office of Residence Life of any disability or accessibility needs.
  18. Room damage charges will be assessed for university property which is damaged.
  19. The university requires all residents to leave the halls during the Vacation Periods of Christmas and Spring Recesses.
  20. All Residence halls have telephone access through the university.
  21. Student Health Insurance is available. All students must have proof of insurance in order to live on campus. Property Insurance is not available, and the University does not cover the loss of a student's personal effects.
  22. Chapel is held Monday - Friday at 9:30 AM Sunday Worship is held at 10:00 AM
