Concordia Writing Center Statement of Purpose

In keeping with the Christian values and mission of Concordia University Wisconsin, the Writing Center encourages educational growth for students in personal and vocational skills to communicate effectively and to develop professional competencies required in a complex society.  As tutors, we provide nurturing in a collaborative environment for all students, regardless of background or ability, who want to hone their skills in all aspects of writing.  We offer objective, non-judgmental assistance tailored to the needs of each student.  We strive to challenge the writer to grow beyond his or her expectations.

We work to improve the writer, not just the writing.
