INTRAMURAL VOLLEYBALL RULES

1. A woman must touch the ball at least once before it goes over the net.  A man, however, may hit the ball over the net on the first hit.
2. An individual receiving a serve may set it (it cannot go through the fingers, however, or be a lift).
3. Blocking or charging a serve is not allowed.
4. A team may have the same number of women and men on the court, more women then men, but NOT more men then women (e.g. 3 women & 3 men, 3 women & 2 men, but not 3 men & 2 women).
5. Please have set ways of rotating people in (e.g. an individual will rotate in for the next server).
6. Proper sportsmanship is a must.  Only a captain can question a call, all others will be warned once, and then asked to leave.
7. 3 games will be played to 15 -- winning by at least 2 points.  The game will be called with 5 minutes to go to the hour no matter what the score, unless there is a tie, and then the next point would win.
8. At the end of your match, a sportsmanship card needs to be filled out.  You rank the team you played, and they rank you.  The referee will also rank both teams.  If your team receives a 2 or less on more than one occasion, your team will be removed from intramural volleyball.  NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
9. All field house rules are in full effect when competing in intramural volleyball.
