Divisional Mission Statement
The Division of Student Life seeks to help students develop by providing opportunities which create a purposeful, open, just, disciplined, caring, and celebrative community.
The Division of Student Life strives to make Concordia University . .
A Purposeful Community
. . . an educationally purposeful Christian community, a place where faculty, staff and students share the goal of developing mature Christian men and women and work together to strengthen teaching and learning on the campus.
An Open Community
. . . an open community, a place where freedom in Christ is uncompromisingly protected and where Christian love is powerfully affirmed.
A Just Community
. . . a just community, a place where the sanctity of each person is valued, where diversity is aggressively pursued and appreciated and where the Christian rights of all members of the community are honored.
A Disciplined Community
. . . a disciplined community, a place where individuals accept their Christian responsibilities to others and where well-defined governance procedures guide behavior, balancing individual freedom with the corporate good.
A Caring Community
. . . a caring community, a place where the well-being of each member is sensitively supported and where Christ-like service to others is encouraged.
A Celebrative Community
. . . a celebrative community, one in which the Lutheran heritage and spirit of the institution is an ongoing celebration, where traditions, innovations and accomplishments are affirmed, and where God is praised and glorified by His people.
