Books
Requesting the purchase of a book is fairly simple.  There are several things that are helpful to keep in mind:

• All requests must be approved by the department Chair.
• Approved requests should be returned to the library liaison for the department, listed below. 
• Any faculty requests that are on back order and arrive during the subsequent fiscal year will be paid for from the current monies allotted to the division.

If you have any questions please contact the library liaison for the department.  All requests must have the approval of the appropriate Chair and be submitted to the appropriate library liaison before January 15th.

Videos

Please submit requests for video purchases by following the same procedure as book purchase requests. Because funds may be exhausted before the end of the fiscal year, preference will be given to requests made before January 15. If requests are made after January 15 and funds are no longer available, purchase may be delayed until the start of the next fiscal year.

The library's collection development policy is to select videos in DVD format when available.

Journals
The library is not purchasing any additional journal titles right now.  If you would like to request that a new journal be considered for purchase, please contact Richard Wohlers at ext. 4403.  Any new purchases that are approved will, of necessity, result in a title from the same area, of the same value being cancelled and will be done in consultation with the department/division being affected.
