The operation and/or parking of a motorized vehicle on the Concordia University WI campus is a privilege given to all students, faculty, and staff at no charge. The rules and regulations that govern this privilege are as follows:
Vehicle Registration
All students, faculty and staff using a vehicle on campus must register their vehicle (or vehicles) with the Campus Safety Office. Campus Safety is located in lower Rincker Hall, room R023. You will need the year, make, model, color and license plate of your vehicle in order to register. You will then be issued a colored registration sticker. The sticker must be affixed to the lower corner of the rear window on the driver’s side of your vehicle.

Violation Ticket Fines
There are three fine amounts:
- Parking or Traffic Violation: $15.00
- Parking On Grass: $35.00 + Repair Cost
- Non-Registration : $25.00
Fines must be paid in the Cashiers Office located in Luther Hall room 100. Failure to pay a citation within 14 calendar days of issuance will result in the fine being doubled. All overdue and unpaid citations will be placed on student/employee account.

Snow Removal
The University makes every attempt to remove snow from parking lots following storms. This removal requires the cooperation of all campus community members. After the snow has quit falling, resident students should listen for a voice mail message providing instructions on which lots to park in and which lots will be plowed. Commuter students should only park in lots that have been plowed prior to their arrival on campus. Campus community members not moving their vehicle according to the plow schedule will be ticketed.

Vehicle Towing Policy
The following is a list of violations for which the University reserves the right to tow a vehicle from University property:
- Parked in area designated as a fire lane
- Parked blocking access to a trash dumpster
- Parked blocking access to the loading dock
- Parked in handicap spot without proper permit
- Parked in area posted as "No Parking" zone
- A vehicle determined to be abandoned

Parking Committee
The Parking Committee of Concordia University Wisconsin is composed of two faculty members, four staff members and two students. The Parking Safety Officer (PSO) serves as chair of the Parking Committee.
The members of the committee are to be appointed prior to September 1 of each year and serve two year staggered terms. Members may succeed themselves for only one term.
- Two (2) Faculty Representatives-appointed by the Chair of the Faculty
- Four (4) Staff Members- One (1) from Maintenance- appointed by Executive Vice President
- One (1) from at large-appointed by PSO
- One (1) Adult Education appointed by V.P. of Adult Education
- One (1) Graduate appointed by Dean of Graduate Studies
- Two (2) Students
- One (1) Commuter appointed by Student Government
- One (1) Resident appointed by Student Government
If one of the above areas fails to appoint said members, the Director of Campus Safety and the Dean of Student Services shall make the appointments.
The Parking Committee is an advisory board to the Director of Campus Safety and to the Dean of Student Services. The Parking Committee may suggest new or revised parking policies and procedures for any function related to parking (including physical property.) The Campus Parking Committee also serves as the Traffic Court and shall hear parking appeals once per month.

Parking Lots and their Restrictions - View the Campus Map 
All Concordia University parking lots are color coded. Three colors are used:
Blue: Staff/Faculty
Green: Commuter/Adult Ed/Graduate Students
Red: Resident Students
You are required to park in the lot that corresponds to the color of the sticker issued to you. Concordia University parking lots are designated by letters A through O. There is no overnight parking in lots A, H, and J. Overnight Parking Restrictions are in effect from 12:00AM until 5:00AM M-F. Overnight parking is only permitted in lots A, H, and J from 5:00PM on Friday until 12:00AM on Sunday.

Guest Parking
Students, faculty, and staff are not permitted to park in designated Guest Parking spaces. All guest’s must register their vehicles with the Campus Safety office, a temporary parking permit will be issued to them authorizing them to park in the Guest Parking spaces.

Temporary Parking
Students, faculty, staff, and non-members of the CUW Community bringing a vehicle onto campus for more than one day must obtain a temporary permit from the Campus Safety
Office.

Handicapped Parking
There are several areas on campus reserved for those with state-issued handicapped parking permits. You must have a state-issued permit to park in these spots. Community members needing temporary handicap parking must
contact the State of Wisconsin for a permit.

Speed and Vehicle Use
Anyone driving a vehicle on the CUW campus is subject to Student Conduct Code 4.16. The maximum vehicle speed limit is 15 MPH. Failure to follow posted vehicle traffic signs and reckless driving will result in a citation. Please be careful and courteous when driving on the CUW campus.

Traffic Regulation Enforcement
Concordia University Campus Safety is the sole department responsible for all traffic and parking regulation enforcement. Citations will be issued where violations occur. Chronic violators will be charged under the Concordia University Student Conduct Code. Chronic violator is defined as an individual receiving 3 or more citations per academic year.

Citation Appeals
Students and Staff can appeal traffic citations. An appeal form must be filed with the Campus Safety Office within 14 calendar days of issuance of the ticket. The appeal forms may be obtained from the Campus Safety Office. There is no charge to appeal citations.
