Your responsibility in applying for Financial Aid for the 2008-2009 school year:

1. Apply for Admissions
2. Complete your 2008-2009 FAFSA online at: www.fafsa.ed.gov
3. Church Work Students - The LCMS DISTRICT FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION.
   Print, complete the application, have your Pastor sign it, and submit the completed application to the Financial Aid Office no later than April 1.
4. One out of three applicants are randomly selected for Federal Verification. If this is the case, you will be asked to complete a Verification Form available online. You must complete and return this form with SIGNED copies of both student and parent(s) Federal 1040 tax return for the 2007 tax year. Aid cannot be awarded until this requirement is met.

NOTE:  STEPS 2-4 MUST BE COMPLETED NO LATER THAN APRIL 1 TO ENSURE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDING. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THESE FORMS IN THE MAIL.

Financial Aid Office Responsibilities: 

1. Determine your eligibility for a Pell Grant
2. Determine your eligibility for a WI Tuition Grant (if you are a WI resident)
3. Award scholarships that you have received
4. Award CUW grants for which you are eligible
5. Indicate your eligibility for borrowing a Direct Federal Student Loan
6. Federal Work Study
