Lutheran Survey Results
In 2005, Concordia professors Jim Burkee (History) and Jeff Walz (Political Science) launched a nationwide survey of Lutheran pastors and laity. The survey, funded jointly by the Luther Institute and Concordia University Wisconsin, studied demographic trends, political attitudes, and worship attitudes and practices, attracting more than 6,000 respondents over a four-year period. Separate surveys were conducted of clergy and laity in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS).
This website will publish some of the survey’s results during October 2009.
Thank you for visiting our website – and for participating in this landmark project.
