David W. Borst Ed.D. is Dean of the School of Business and Legal Studies (SBLS) at Concordia University Wisconsin.  He has been at CUW since December of 1996, and has extensive background in running academic programs, specifically in adult education and non-traditional delivery systems.  The SBLS is comprised of three divisions, traditional undergraduate (business and legal studies), accelerated adult (CJ, HR, healthcare, and business management), and graduate programs (MBA).

The SBLS makes up almost 1/3 the total CUW student population.  It is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) and offers programs using a variety of delivery methods.

Dr. Borst regularly consults, along with his students, for community businesses including Ozaukee Sports/Rec. Facility, Family Sharing, Little Caesars- Grafton, Java Dock- Port, and others.  Nationally he has consulted with the HARMS Missile Group and been a two-time guest speaker for the Chicago Area Plumbers Association.  His MBA is from Marquette University (1987) and his Ed.D. is from Argosy University (formerly University of Sarasota) (2003).  He is also the president elect of the Ozaukee Economic Development Board, slated to take office in 2010 after a one-year stint as vice-president.

Dr. Borst is well-traveled having recruited students in a variety of countries.  He has taught in Quito, Ecuador, presided over convocations in India, and has presented in Italy and the Baltic’s.  Dr. Borst is an avid water-skier and snowmobiler, while enjoying Wisconsin’s four seasons.
