James Freese is Associate Professor of Music and director of the Master of Church Music Program.  He teaches graduate studies and applied graduate and undergraduate organ.  His D. Mus. Degree is from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, where he studied organ with Douglas Cleveland.  He has been at Concordia since 2000. He is also cantor at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, where he has served since 1979.
