Dr. David W. Eggebrecht, a native of Milwaukee, earned his B.S. Ed. at Concordia River Forest, and his M.A. in British Literature and Ph.D. in Education from Marquette University. He is an alumnus of Milwaukee Lutheran High School and a recipient of their Cum Deo Award. He taught English and Drama and coached Track and Cross Country at MLHS from 1960-65 and joined the Concordia faculty in 1965. He was the recipient of the second Faculty Laureate Award at Concordia. In addition to teaching English and Education, he has served as Track and Cross Country coach, line coach in football, and has been Director of Drama since 1968. At Concordia he has been Registrar, Curriculum Coordinator, and Chair of the Humanities Division. He was appointed Academic Dean in 1984 as Vice President of Academics. Dr. Eggebrecht was elected to a term on the Wauwatosa, WI School board, and has served on numerous boards and committees in the community and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
