Dr. Evans teaches courses at all levels in both Mathematics and Computer Science. These include Contemporary Mathematics, Finite Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, Real Analysis, Computer Organization and Architecture, Programming Languages, and Systems Programming. I like to include collaborative learning activities, real-world applications, and relevant technology into all of my classes. When not in class my office is always open to students seeking help with course material or looking to play a game of chess.
Dr. Evans's wife, Diane, and him have been married for fifteen years and have two wonderful daughters, Adrienne and Natalie. Diane and him both enjoy art, photography, and theater. His wife is the principal of an architectural firm and he provide her firm with consulting services in the areas of information technology and accounting.
He is currently working on two books. The first will be a supplement that will provide collaborative learning activities for use in the Real Analysis classroom. The second will look at the mathematics hidden in classic games, game shows, and other diversions.
