Essie Dunham manages office operations at Concordia University Wisconsin-Madison Center. She graduated from St. Thomas University, a private Catholic university, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business. She is currently attending Concordia University as a student in the Masters of Business Administration. In Miami, Essie worked as an Advisor/Recruitment Outreach Specialist before moving to Madison, Wisconsin. At St. Thomas University, Essie recruited adult students who wanted to return to college and earn their degree.
Essie was born in Garysburg, North Carolina and has worked in the educational environment most of her career. She is a product of a middle class family who believes in education. She has also worked and studied full-time while obtaining her education. Therefore, student’s fears, needs, and concerns upon entering college are not foreign to her, but recognizable.
Essie enjoys working for Concordia University because at Concordia it is understood that in order to achieve success it requires support, cooperation, and collaboration from the students, faculty, staff, and administration. Essie personally enjoys giving back to the higher education environment that has helped her do well in life. Essie’s favorite pastime is reading a good book, traveling and playing the guitar. Essie’s favorite color is red and she enjoys Snickers bars.
