Linda Samuel, PhD, OTR is an Associate Professor and Director of the Occupational Therapy Department. She has worked in the area of psychiatric OT for 12 years with young adults in an acute care and day hospital setting. Dr. Samuel has also worked 8 years in adult rehabilitation and acute care. She was the Southeastern District Co-Chair of the Special Interests Section of Mental Health for the Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Association She has also participated in numerous WOTA Annual Conventions and Exposition planning committees.
Clinical/Professional Experience:
Primary clinical experience includes working in a County psychiatric facility with young adults in acute care and day treatment settings. In addition, clinical experience also includes work with brain injured patients and most recently, acute impatient at a local hospital.
Research interests:
Effective teaching, including problem-based learning (PBL). A participant in numerous grants that are linked to mediation in the public school system and effectiveness of diversity training in the city of Milwaukee.
