Rev. Dr. Roy Peterson is the Assistant Vice President of Advancement.  He is an alum of the university and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Management and Communication in 1996.  He continued his education at the Concordia Seminary in St. Louis where he earned his Master's degree in Practical Theology in 1999.  Roy received his Doctoral degree in Ministry in 2005 from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Before attending Concordia, Roy worked as a National Retail Sales Manager for AgriData Resources.  From sales, Roy advanced his career to Chief Executive Officer for the Stewart-Peterson Group, a co-owned business.  In 1997, Roy joined Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Menomonee Falls, WI and served as the Associate Pastor for nine years.

As for his personal life, Roy has been married to Joanie since 1976.  He has been blessed with four children and his family continues to grow with marriages and grandchildren.  His family includes: Amy and Matt Seban and their three children Derrick, Marissa, and Bryan; Erica and Michael Hilla; Ryan (2003 alum) and Kristy (2002 alum) Peterson who are expecting their first child in August 2007; and Brad and Sandi (2004 alum) Peterson.  In addition to spending time with his family, Roy is an avid bicyclist and reads extensively.
