What You'll Learn in the Art Program

In our program you will:

  • Build strong drawing skills as a foundation for perceptual accuracy and visual communication
  • Refine your painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and photography skills

As an Art major, you'll also complete the requirements for a minor. A business-related minor gives you the skills needed to pursue business or entrepreneurial opportunities.

Curriculum

In addition to CUW's strong core liberal arts curriculum, Art majors complete 61 credit hours of coursework in a wide variety of mediums. The program includes nine elective credits, six credits in a concentration area, and a course in portfolio preparation
