"Life in a Tree" The Opening Musical Act for the 2015 Lake Moon Festival

Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) is proud to announce that the musical group Life in a Tree will open up the Second Annual Lake Moon Festival on Saturday, August 8th. The award-winning band consists of juniors from Grafton and Mequon High Schools. Their blend of emo and indie rock has been described as dynamic, rich and powerful, while being balanced with smart, meaningful lyrics.

“We are so excited to be playing at the Lake Moon Festival and participating in such a wonderful event located in our hometown,” said band members.

Life in a Tree will perform at 4 p.m. on a spectacular stage provided by KNE (K-Nation Entertainment), resulting in truly first-rate experience.

The Lake Moon Festival is a free event for the public including a 5K race, food, bluff tours, a Plein Air art competition, family activities, fireworks, and much more. The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m

“Concordia created Lake Moon Festival to welcome families and the community to campus, celebrating a beautiful summer evening together on the bluff of Lake Michigan,” said Lisa Liljegren, festival spokesperson and director of community and corporate relations at Concordia.
