Concordia University Wisconsin will hold spring commencement for its graduate students on Friday, May 15 at 6 p.m. in the University’s R. John Buuck Field House. The undergraduate commencement will take place on Saturday, May 16 at 1:30 p.m. and will also take place in the Field House.
According to Dr. Randall Ferguson, assistant vice president of Academics for Student Success, the main speaker for both ceremonies will be Dr. Bohdan Hrobon, president of the Center for Christian Education in Martin, Slovakia.
“We once again expect more than 700 students to participate in the two ceremonies, including our inaugural class of Physician Assistant graduates,” said Dr. Ferguson.
The student speaker for the graduate ceremony on Friday night will be Jeanne Olsen, who is part of the first graduating class of Physician Assistants. The student speaker for Saturday’s undergraduate ceremony will be Rachel Ferguson, who is graduating with a B.A. in Psychology.
Red, white, and blue cords were donated by Mequon business owner, Cheryle Rebholz. To coincide with Armed Forces Day, these cords will be worn by U.S. military veterans who will be graduating.
Seating for both the graduate and undergraduate ceremonies will be on a first come, first served basis, and tickets are not required. For more information on either commencement, visit www.cuw.edu/graduation.
