Funding, grant awards & contract support

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) at Concordia University Wisconsin is here to help support faculty and staff in their pursuit of funding opportunities and management of grant awards and contracts. We can assist you in searching for funding opportunities, applying for and managing grant awards, and more.

The OSP provides the following pre- and post-award services:

Pre-award services include:
  • Assistance with locating funding opportunities
  • Grant proposal editing and budget creation assistance
  • Offering assistance to principal investigators (PI) with new proposal submissions, including editing and budgeting
  • Serving as a liaison between the funding agency and the applicant
  • Submitting documents via or other web-based portals  
Post-award services include:
  • Providing orientations for new project director/principal investigator (PI)
  • Serving as liaison between the business office and funding agency
  • Working with the PI to prepare continuation funding documents and close-out reports  
The CUW Office of Sponsored Programs also helps work one-on-one with principal investigators. We can work with the PI in setting up:
  • Budget
  • Subaward agreements
  • Contracts
  • Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), in coordination with the PI and Business Office, and offer oversight as needed to ensure successful implementation of the project  
We are also available to meet with PI’s as needed to:
  • Troubleshoot problems
  • Review regulations
  • Obtain signatures on legal documents
  • Assist with budget revisions and requests for modifying the terms of the award
  • Submit grant renewals or new proposal submissions
  • Complete close-out activities and reports  
In addition, the Office of Sponsored Programs provides other services, including:
  • Technology transfer  
  • Undergraduate research
  • Other agreements (e.g., Material Transfer Agreements, Confidential Disclosure Statements, Research Agreements)
