General Requirements

  1. Submit the online application along with a non-refundable $50 application fee, an Admissions Counselor will contact you and track receipt of the other items needed
  2. Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended must be sent directly to the CUW Center at which you are enrolling. In cases where the student has less than 60 transferable credits, an official high school transcript or proof of GED must also be submitted. Generally students will be required to have a 2.00 GPA.
  3. International students should visit our International Students Admission page to view additional admission requirements. When an applicant’s file is complete, the file is forwarded to the Admission Committee for review.

The Admission Committee can make a one of three decisions. An official decision letter is sent to the applicant.

  1. The student is fully admitted to the program
  2. The student is admitted as a conditional student, whose admission and/or continuation in the program is contingent upon meeting certain conditions that are stipulated in the acceptance letter the student receives
  3. The student is denied admission

BS Completion for Registered Nurses

Admission requirements

  • Successful completion of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above for full acceptance
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the USA Application Process
  1. Complete an Adult Accelerated application, an Admissions Counselor will contact you and track receipt of the other items needed
  2. Order official copies of transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended. Have them sent to the Concordia campus you will attend.
  3. Provide a copy of your RN license
  4. Current resume. Upon receipt of the above your application will be submitted for review.

Your Admissions Counselor will contact you and an official decision letter will be mailed to you with one of the following results:

  1. Full acceptance to the BSN Completion program
  2. Conditional Acceptance: Conditions needing to be met will be stipulated
  3. Denial: Reasoning will be noted along with Appeal Process options

Accepted students will also receive a welcome email from Concordia’s BSN Nursing Advisor with an Official Credit Transfer Report and a Course Progression Plan. Your Admissions Counselor will follow up with you to assist with course enrollment. Medical Assistant Program Applicants must be high school graduates or have earned an HSED or GED.

Admission process

  2. Meet with the Admissions Counselor for a personal interview
  3. Provide official GED, high school, or college transcripts
  4. Pass the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam with a score of 18 or higher, given three attempts
  5. Pass a background check
  6. Complete a physical and must provide proof of health insurance prior to practicum
  7. Students may transfer up to 12 credits into the Medical Assistant program. The official transcripts and course descriptions need to be provided to the Program Director for approval.

The applicant will be sent an official acceptance letter after they have passed the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam and the Program Director receives the application, fee, and official transcripts.

  1. Anyone who does not pass a background check may be admitted into the program, but must sign a waiver that they are aware that they may have difficulty being placed at a practicum site
  2. Students may transfer up to 12 credits into the Medical Assistant program. The official transcripts and course descriptions need to be provided to the Program Director for approval.

Social Work admissions

Admission requirements

  • A cumulative GPA of 2.5 (2.75 on Social Work courses)

Application process

  1. Complete an Adult Accelerated application for Social Work – Bachelor’s Degree, an Admissions Counselor will contact you and track receipt of the other items needed
  2. Order official copies of transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended. Have them sent to the Concordia campus you will attend
  3. Submit a two page essay about yourself describing your personal background and interest in the field of Social Work
  4. Order a Background Check for health care workers. Instructions will be provided by your Admissions Counselor. Upon receipt of the above your application will be submitted for review.

Your Admissions Counselor will contact you and an official decision letter will be mailed to you with one of the following results:

  1. Full acceptance to the Bachelor’s in Social Work program*
  2. Conditional Acceptance: Conditions needing to be met will be stipulated
  3. Denial: Reasoning will be noted along with Appeal Process options

Accepted students will later receive in the mail an Official Credit Transfer Report. Your Admissions Counselor will follow up with you to assist with course enrollment.

*Accepted students must complete all Core and Elective degree requirements prior to taking upper division Social Work courses. Your Admissions Counselor and Academic Advisor will advise you on this.

Readmission policy

Undergraduate programs

Students who wish to resume their studies after an absence of one year or more must submit a new application. Students will re-enter the program under the rules and regulations of the current catalog. A new evaluation form will be completed at that time. Any new course requirements in either the major or the core must be met.

We are approved in every state for all of our programs with some exceptions. Our friendly admissions team can provide the specific answers you need with respect to approvals in your state of residence.
